Once the conchos and all the nails are removed it is time to see if the Rear Jockey will come off. I have indicated the Rear Jockey in blue. If it does not easily move, look for more nails. Do not start pulling - you may destroy the leather. Also remember the Saddle Strings must be pulled through the holes of the Jockey.
If you are only cleaning it is only necessary to loosen the Rear Jockey.
